Beberapa masakan seperti opor, lodeh, dan lainnya menjadi olahan dengan campuran santan demi meningkatkan citra rasa dan kelezatan. Bahkan, beberapa minuman sekalipun juga mengandung santan untuk membuat rasanya semakin nikmat, seperti es cendol. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Sayangnya banyak masyarakat yang beranggapan bahwa santan memiliki kandungan kolesterol tinggi. Kolesterol adalah senyawa berupa lemak yang oleh berbagai sel dalam tubuh produksi. Senyawa ini berasal dari dua sumber, yaitu makanan dan hati. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Pada dasarnya, tubuh membutuhkan kolesterol untuk menjalankan beberapa fungsi tubuh. Namun, kadar kolesterol yang terlalu tinggi justru dapat menimbulkan berbagai masalah kesehatan.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/wrp.co.id\/media\/opor_ayam.jpeg?resize=640%2C427&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Kandungan Kolesterol Pada Santan\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Kolesterol sendiri terbagi menjadi dua jenis di dalam tubuh, yaitu kolesterol baik atau high density lipoprotein (HDL) dan kolesterol jahat atau low density lipoprotein (LDL). Fungsi dari kolesterol HDL adalah menjaga metabolisme tubuh, sedangkan kolesterol LDL atau jahat sangat berisiko memicu gangguan kesehatan<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mengingat sumber kolesterol salah satunya adalah makanan, lantas apakah santan juga termasuk? Simak informasinya berikut ini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kolesterol Pada Santan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Santan juga mengandung sejumlah kecil (antara 1 hingga 4 persen) nutrisi lain, seperti kalsium, vitamin B kompleks, vitamin C, dan kolin. Kemudian, terdapat 2 gram protein, 2,8 gram karbohidrat, dan 21,3 gram lemak dalam setiap 100 gram santan. Sebagian besar lemak ini (18,9 gram) adalah lemak jenuh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Kebanyakan orang dengan kebutuhan 2.000 kalori, hanya boleh mengonsumsi 65 gram lemak setiap hari dan tidak lebih dari 20 gramnya berasal dari lemak jenuh. Ini berarti sepertiga dari kebutuhan harian akan lemak bisa berasal dari satu porsi atau 100 gram santan. Di samping itu, kandungan lemak jenuh yang tinggi dari santan juga telah memenuhi batas harian untuk jenis lemak jenuh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">The American Heart Association (AHA) merekomendasikan agar lemak jenuh harus kita hindari jika khawatir dapat meningkatkan kolesterol. Kondisi yang juga dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan jantung. Namun menurut The Coconut Palm Research and Development Perspectives, berbagai penelitian tidak sepakat dan mengatakan bahwa kandungan lemak kelapa netral untuk kesehatan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Sebuah studi tahun 2016 di European Journal of Nutrition menunjukkan, santan kelapa tidak memengaruhi trigliserida, kolesterol, atau penanda risiko kardiometabolik lainnya.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cdn0-production-images-kly.akamaized.net\/3_G29F7ENGilBP07NOBImKHCu9U%3D\/1200x1200\/smart\/filters%3Aquality%2875%29%3Astrip_icc%28%29%3Aformat%28webp%29\/kly-media-production\/medias\/4116045\/original\/096016200_1659931714-shutterstock_2137989959.jpg?resize=600%2C600&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Santan Dan Lemak Jenuh<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Alasan mengapa kandungan lemak kelapa menyebabkan perdebatan adalah jenis lemak jenuh yang terkandung di dalamnya.
