Namanya kayu manis Ceylon,&#8221; kata Karen. Dari hasil pengamatannya, Karen menyebut tidak semua jenis kayu manis itu sama. Oleh sebab itu, Karen mengingatkan orang-orang untuk berhati-hati ketika membeli kayu manis demi mendapatkan manfaatnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Kayu manis lainnya, seperti kayu manis Korintje dan kayu manis Saigon atau Vietnam memang berkerabat dengan kayu manis Ceylon, tapi keduanya bukan &#8216;kayu manis asli&#8217;. Keduanya secara teknis merupakan varietas Cassia,&#8221; ujarnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Meski satu keluarga dengan kayu manis, tapi Cassia mengandung senyawa kimia kumarin, sehingga tidak boleh dikonsumsi dalam dosis besar karena bisa berubah menjadi racun bagi hati.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Menurut Karen, kayu manis yang asli mengandung kumarin dalam jumlah sangat rendah dan tidak membawa risiko tersebut. &#8220;Ceylon, yang memiliki banyak manfaat kesehatan dalam jumlah tinggi, adalah satu-satunya kayu manis yang saya rekomendasikan,&#8221; katanya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lantas, apa saja manfaat kayu manis bagi kesehatan?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Melawan Infeksi<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/klubcahaya.com\/sosial\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2023\/12\/pexels-photo-301669.jpeg?w=715&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"5 Manfaat Kayu Manis Untuk Kesehatan\" class=\"wp-image-20359\" style=\"object-fit:cover;width:750px;height:469px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Kayu manis memiliki sifat antivirus, antijamur, dan antibakteri yang semuanya membantu menjaga tubuh tetap sehat agar bekerja dengan baik. &#8220;Para peneliti telah menemukan bahwa kayu manis menduduki peringkat pertama di antara herbal dan rempah paling populer di dunia dalam hal tingkat antioksidan,&#8221; ujar dewan nutrisi holistik, Sara Peternell, MNT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Antioksidan membantu tubuh memperbaiki sel-sel yang rusak dan melawan radikal bebas. Artinya, kayu manis membuat tubuh meminimalisir infeksi dan penyakit. &#8220;Antioksidan membantu memperbaiki kerusakan akibat radikal bebas dalam tubuh kita,&#8221; kata ahli diet asal California, Amandeep Kalsi MPH, RD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kayu Manis Bantu Lancarkan Sirkulasi Darah<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Kayu manis memiliki efek vasodilatasi (relaksasi) pada pembuluh darah. Hasilnya adalah untuk peningkatan sirkulasi darah. &#8220;Mengonsumsi kurang dari satu sendok makan kayu manis sebanyak dua hingga tiga kali setiap minggu, dapat meningkatkan kesehatan tubuh yang menyeluruh,&#8221; ujar ahli kebugaran, Ashlee Inman, MPH, CPT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Sebagai seorang ahli, Inman tahu betul baiknya kayu manis dikonsumsi seperti apa.&nbsp;Dia merekomendasikan untuk menaburkan bubuk kayu manis pada oatmeal, sereal, atau roti panggang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Anti Inflamasi<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Penelitian dalam\u00a0<em>Journal of AOAC\u00a0<\/em>menemukan, kayu manis secara khusus memiliki kandungan senyawa fenolik tinggi yang mengurangi peradangan pada tubuh. Zat yang mengurangi peradangan di tubuh memiliki komponen anti-inflamasi. Kayu manis memiliki komponen tersebut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Kita bisa mendapatkan manfaatnya dengan ukuran satu hingga enam gram setiap hari, atau sekitar setengah sampai dua sendok teh,&#8221; kata ahli nutrisi, Jennifer Weis, RD, LDN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kayu Manis Bantu Mengurangi Tekanan Darah<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Para peneliti menemukan, konsumsi kayu manis dalam jangka pendek saja memberikan efek penurunan tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik pada pasien pradiabetes serta diabetes tipe dua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Tekanan sistolik adalah tekanan darah pada saat jantung memompa. Sedangkan diastolik adalah tekanan darah pada saat jantung relaksasi. Mengurangi tekanan darah berarti seluruh sistem kardiovaskular kita juga terlindungi.
